We are presently evaluating HCR Pascal for use here at Monmouth. Our desire is that it will be used by students from Freshman (the intro CS course) on through graduate work. My question is this: Are any of you using HCR Pascal in a student environment? If so, have you had any problems with things like the clarity of the diagnostics? (Some of our professors are concerned about using any compiler in a student environment which does not produce a program listing with inserted error messages.) Please respond by mail.
