Re: Spastic mailings from mmdf@rand-relay Has anyone had this problem (and can someone tell me how to solve it)? The problem is I sent a reply to a netnews and, for whatever reason, the message wasn't able to be delivered to the recipient. As a result I have received (as of my last count) well over 600 messages from mmdf@rand-relay bearing some aspect of a "failed mail" tiding. The messages come in lots of three with the first being a short message with a header line: From: MEMO SERVICE (MMDF) <ihnp4!decvax!mmdf@rand-relay. The second states that my message will follow and begins with the header: From decvax!tektronix!mmdf@rand-relay. The third is my message with transit headers attached. Since I only sent one message, it seems that such a large number of failed mail messages is unwarranted. I tried sending a reply asking the sender to stop sending such messages, but thus far that has brought no result. This problem is painful because about twice a day I have to wade through about fifty mail messages, deleting as I go, just to make sure that a real message is not mixed in with the garbage. Does anyone out in netland know how I can get these messages to cease? Please reply by mail as I do not subscribe to this newsgroup.
