[net.mail] hacking mailer daemon's name

phil@amd.UUCP (Phil Ngai) (10/26/84)

I would like to solicit comments on the bogusity of changing the
string MAILER-DAEMON to something like AMD-MAILER-DAEMON. We run
sendmail as part of 4.2 BSD and the reason I propose doing this is
that sometimes a letter gets bounced around and it is not totally
clear to me whose daemon barfed. This way I know if it is my problem
or not. But I wonder if I will break something by doing this.
