Quite often we have the need to send mail to VMS systems that will in turn forward it to another VMS system over DECNET. As I said in the title I need to expand the address line of any mail going out or passing through our site from: foo!bar to foo1!foo::bar I want to do this automatically in the sendmail configuration file. Can someone out there help me? Can >someone out there help me? There may be no need to do this ... since when you dial-up a VMS system on a DECNET you can SET HOST to any other site on the DECNET, you can dial-in directly to the target site. If the UUCP software is up on both systems, no problem ! ... but if it's not ... now what ? Is this system running Eunice ? Even if you did get the VMS system to forward, how can you get it to forward *again*, to a Unix site ? This would allow use of our DECnet's dedicated, high-speed, syncronous interstate lines.
