[net.mail] sendmail and "services"

I'm all set to add the ability to route mail to the lineprinter. I would
like to do this with a domain naming scheme.

I have seen at least one site who does this by using PAPER as a top level
domain.

Are there any reasons why one should use a top level domain instead of a
subdomain, or vice-versa, for these sorts of things?

Generalizing this, one might want to send mail to somebody, but rather than
have electronic delivery, use paper mail. What about home versus work
addresses? Should HOME or WORK be top level domains or subdomains?
