I am having some trouble with distribution of the mailing list that I
moderate, and I hope someone can help me. I started out the list knowing
very little about the hardcore details of UUCP (I still don't know too much)
and I have taken some heat lately from the guys who run my own machine as
well as from another machine which was given the brunt of delivering quite
a sizeable load of text.
Can anyone out there give me an idea as to the most cost-efficient
way of distributing a list? It was suggested to me that I request that each
subscriber have his machine dial up mine. I don't consider this a realistic
way of doing it, esp. since I have never heard of a mailing list that works
this way. No matter which path I take, it seems that SOME machine or other
is going to have a lot of mail to deliver. If you can help, please reply
by mail as soon as possible, since I will not be sending out the next
mailing until I can find a reasonable solution.
Thanks very much in advance.
