Could anyone send me the address syntax for communicating from bitnet address (at Stanford U.) to uucp address via the bitnet-uucp gateway psuvax1. My uucp address is psuvax1!ihnp4!ihlpa!jho. (I know how to send e-mail to a bitnet address) The question is: What is the address syntax a bitnet user would use to send me electronic mail. (If there is another gateway that can be used please let me know). Thanking you in advance. Yosi Hoshen, (AT&T Bell Laboratories, IH, ..!ihnp4!ihnpa!jho)

I've had the same problem. It's easy to get mail from here to bitnet sites but they can't get it back. Could it be that the VM/VMS mailer falls short? -dph@lanl.arpa

However, I have been able to get responses to my mail, if my site originated the exchange. It seems that bitnet sites are capable in providing the proper syntax for the return mail. So the question what is the proper syntex. If the computer can do it why can't we humans do it.
