Is there any one out there who knows about a Z80 editor/assembler for the ZX81? I have heard a rumor that there is one available for $9.95 but have not been able to find it (or any other assembler) anywhere. I would prefer that the program could run in 6K (I don't have the 16K expansion RAM pack, but I have built my own 4K add-on). Thank you for your cooperation, Jeff Glasson ...!sdcsvax!sdccsu3!ee163fy

They are available from Gladstone Electronics, along with a host of other bits of ZX-81/TS 1000 hardware, software, and books. An address will be Forth-coming (he-he-he), as soon as I remember to bring the catalog to the computer room. Unfortunately, if you want to use the assembler, you'll need more than 6k of RAM. It alone takes up 7k. Also, according to the description, the assembler mnemonics are included in "REM" statements, so you can kind of picture how to input the code. Gladstone offers two assemblers, one for $9.95, and one for $14.95. I don't know what the difference is. -mike schwager pur-ee!uiucdcs!schwager
