Due to the imminent demise of our link to pyuxbb, u1100s is now getting its news from u1100a via (get this!) tape. A few times a day all news that has arrived since the last time is copied to tape on u1100a and loaded up on u1100s to be fed into rnews. The link runs the other direction too, but that is of somewhat less interest becuase u1100s has no other (important) links to the outside world, while u1100a gets its news from houxm via uucp. Unfortunately, this mechanism does not transmit mail, so the 'r-' command will not work on u1100s or on any other site for an article that has been transmitted thru u1100s. This is only a temporary condition until u1100a gets an autodialer and some software to drive it. We hope it will not persist for more than a few months.
