Vortex Technology is a very small Los Angeles firm engaged in various research and development efforts related to computer software/hardware, telecommunications systems, advanced video technologies, and a host of other topics. Site "vortex" is an IBM-PC/XT with 640K bytes main memory and 27 megabytes of disk storage. It runs homegrown versions of UUCP and mail software, which were developed from scratch and are completely unrelated to AT&T code. Name of contact person at site.
