A dispute between Edmonton Telephones and Alberta Government Telephones over Long Distance revenues has resulted in all outgoing long distance calls to require operator intervention. This has severely affected our link to ubc-vision, and until a settlement occurs, ubc-vision will be polling us on demand for mail only. We plan to resume normal news and mail services to ubc-vision once the dispute ends, and an announcement shall be made at that time (but don't expect it in the near future, as both sides are presently engaged in a prolonged war of nerves).
