As many (many) people have kindly pointed out, system V uucp has a brain-
damage whereby a uucp site must be distinguishable in the first 6 characters.
As a result we are going to have to scrap our scheme to name our computers
psuvax1, psuvax2, psuvax3 etc.
HOWEVER, we are now MUCH too far into converting from 'psuvax' to 'psuvax1' to
stop. We will thus CONTINUE the changeover, barring any major catastrophies.
Thank you all for your advice, and our official name is now 'psuvax1' (I hope)
