We are undergoing some reconfiguration of dataswitches and datakits near cbosgd, and we expect the dataswitch to go away soon. As a result, the L.sys procedures to access cbosgd will probably change soon. The current 4700 number is on the dataswitch. It may go away at any time. There are two direct dialups to cbosgd - 4420 and 4608. 4608 is new. We expect to keep these numbers working as they are now, but since there are only the two ports, we may ask that UUCP use other lines where possible. If you're having trouble getting through, these two lines should continue to work. We may also change the login/password at this time, but for the time being it will remain the same. I hope to contact everybody eventually with the new information, when it becomes available. (Right now the new lines aren't set up to work yet, and the old ones are creaking and groaning.) If all else fails, route mail through a major node such as ihnp4, clyde, or ucbvax. Mark Horton
