For those of you who didn't catch Roger Long's (pertec!bytebug) posting in net.jobs, Pertec has layed off its UNIX staff. System "pertec" not only is no longer on the net, but is no longer in operation. News sites being fed by "pertec" will have to find another feed... This is, I suppose, part of the incipient shake-out of ``UNIX-box'' manufacturers. In any case, let's wish Roger luck in contending with his sudden loss of employment. -Ed Hall decvax!randvax!edhall
