Due to the continued softness of the semiconductor industry, phone costs have come under increasing pressure here at nsc. We've come to the conclusion that we simply have to cut way back on the connectivity of the site given current business conditions. Effective August 23, 1985, the following connection list will be the valid list for nsc. I suggest that people running routers get it installed as soon as possible because a number of links are simply going away, and mail will have to be bounced back. I'm sorry I couldn't give more notice than this, but I didn't have any, either. chuq ----- # nsc description as of 8/23/85 # #Name nsc #System-CPU-OS #Organization National Semiconductor Corp., Microcomputer Systems Division #Contact Chuq Von Rospach #Electronic-Address nsc!chuqui #Telephone (408) 733-2600 x242 #Postal-Address M.S. 7C-266, 1135 Kern Ave., Sunnyvale CA 94086 #U hplabs cadtec daisy voder #Latitude-Longitude #Remarks #Written-by Chuq Von Rospach 8/14/85 # # Bay area sites we talk to # nsc amd(DEMAND), amdahl(DEMAND), amdcad(DEMAND), apple(DEMAND), cadtec(DEMAND), cae780(DEMAND), daisy(DEMAND), decwrl(DIRECT), hpda(DIRECT), hplabs(DIRECT), idi(DEMAND), nsc16(DEMAND), plx(DEMAND), saber(DEMAND), sun(DIRECT), tolerant(DEMAND), voder(DEMAND), twg(DEAD), conejo(DEAD), ames(DEAD), menlo70(DEAD), resonex(DEAD), proper(DEAD), turtlevax(DEAD), unisoft(DEAD), qantel(DEAD), dual(DEAD), fortune(DEAD), glacier(DEAD), mips(DEAD), mtxinu(DEAD), pesnta(DEAD), nsclap(POLLED), ridge(POLLED) # nsclap and ridge poll us only. # Our news feed is hplabs (may change) and we feed cadtec, daisy, and voder. # # Out of area sites we talk to # nsc ihnp4(DEMAND), nsc-pdc(DEMAND), sequent(DEMAND), tekecs(DEMAND+LOW), allegra(DEAD), bellcore(DEAD), calmasd(DEAD), cbosgd(DEAD), gatech(DEAD), seismo(DEAD), sftig(DEAD), uiucdcs(DEAD), unipress(DEAD), zaiaz(DEAD), cmuitcb(DEAD), umcp-cs(DEAD) -- Chuq Von Rospach nsc!chuqui@decwrl.ARPA {cbosgd,fortune,hplabs,ihnp4,seismo}!nsc!chuqui
