[net.news.config] Changes for chronon, cti

eric@chronon.UUCP (Eric Black) (08/30/86)

I've been talking to the Powers That Be around here, and
it looks like the Chronon people want to get news off their
machine. Most of us on 'chronon' who read news and get
UUCP mail are all actually working for a different company,
Cornerstone Technology, Inc., and have just been coasting
along on Chronon's machine for a while (I set up chronon
while I was there, and was able to convince them to let us
use the UUCP/USENET facilities).

So it looks like as of September 1 (i.e. Labor Day) the
site known as 'chronon' will no longer be globally visible
to the net. A new site, 'cti', will take over the connections
from chronon. They will be one of our local UUCP neighbors,
so people there can still talk to the world through us (i.e.
you can get to chronon as '...!cti!chronon').

Here's an appropriately-updated map entry (which will actually be
effective on or about Sept. 1):
