Can anyone supply more information about Per Brinch-Hansen's Edison system? Is it really a compiled system? How good is it at producing efficient code (say, compared to C)? Can you produce stand-alone software with it, or does it have a massive run time? What I am scared of is that this is another P-system mess. Tell me it isn't true. Where are more references to it? The only reference they supply is a book whose copyright is April 1983. If this system is what I think it is, it should be perfect for software development on micros, something that has been mostly lacking. Wm Leler - UNC Chapel Hill
