This is a follow-up to my previous article regarding the existence or non-
existence of PL/I on UNIX systems. I don't have any further information,
but I have received a rather large number of inquiries from other netters
asking If I'd pass along any stuff that I get. Apparently, there is a good
deal of interest out there for UNIX PL/I. To those of you who have responded,
I've gotten one e-letter hinting of such a compiler, but no one
seems to know how to get one. If I hear of anything really promising
(outside of any proprietary rumblings here at Bell Labs), I'll post them to
the net. In the meantime, to those of you who've responded, It's nice to
know that I'm not the only one who thinks "C" isn't the be-all, end-all of
programming languages.
