[net.lang] Looking for a PL/I pretty-printer.

bruce@godot.UUCP (Bruce Nemnich) (03/08/84)

There is a program called format_pl1 which is distributed with the
Mutics system by Honeywell. It even takes directives in the form of
PL/I comments to tell it what "style" to use. Since it is a part of the
Multics system, I assume it is not generally available, but you may want
to write Barry Margolin (decvax!genrad!mit-eddie!barmar) for more
information.

I am taking pity on a friend who's job requires
programming in PL/I on IBM equipment. She is in need of a
PL/I pretty-printer (source text formatter) and has not
been able to find one. If anyone knows of such a thing,
please respond by mail. She would be happy with code, or
a pointer to someplace where code is known to exist.

				Thanks
