Greetings, I am looking for references on the subject of "control abstraction". Any definition of control abstraction is of interest, but my primary interest is in control abstraction when it is defined to mean "the ability within a language to define new flow-of-control mechanisms". I am aware of most major languages which either have a wide variety of control structures or allow the definition of new control structures, such as CLU, ICON, LISP, Smalltalk, etc., though if you know of any slightly obscure languages which might be of interest, please send references to those as well. Also of interest are any theoretical papers on the subject, or anything remotely related to the subject. (I'm becoming desperate. :-) As usual, I will post any results to the net, so unless you want to start a discussion of the topic, please mail all responses to me at the address given below. Thanks in advance, Brian Wilkerson. uucp : tektronix!tekecs!mako!brianw arpa : brianw@mako.UUCP
