jrv@mitre-bedford.ARPA recently proposed an addition to C "to let the
programmer declare the fraction of the time he expects an expression to
be nonzero (true)." Any need for this can be eliminated by giving the
(highly optimizing) compiler sophisticated profiling data from sample
runs; for more information, see the very interesting, and very dense
