Does anyone know what has become of the programming language Boxer? Boxer is/was an object oriented language using a spatial metaphor for programming (ie. graphics), taking after Logo and Smalltalk, and providing a modular structure (via boxes!). The last I heard was that MIT were hoping to develop a MacIntosh implementation, and had Version 5 running on a Lisp machine. I've seen copies of provisional documentation dated 1984, and there is one MIT reference: "A principled design for an integrated computational environment", Andrea A. diSessa, Technical memo no. MIT/LCS/TM-223 What I would like is to get my hands on a version running on anything; Mac, PC, UNIX, or VMS. Any information as to progress or likely availability received with thanks.
