Hello, Does anyone have any information on the language AHPL. I am particularly interested in a precise definition of the language. I am having trouble locating one. Thank you, Wayne

(Published by John Wiley & Sons, 1973. ISBN 0-471-39605-2.) It is based, of course, on Ken Iverson's _A_Programming_Language_, but only a part of APL has application as hardware operations. In addition, Hill and Peterson add a few conventions and restrictions to APL in forming AHPL. The language may have been standardized by some committee later on (IEEE, NBS?).

The following book contains a Chapter on AHPL. Frederick Hill and Gerald Peterson, "Digital Systems: Hardware Organization and Design," John Wiley and Sons, 1978. I hope it helps, Chandra {hplabs!chandrasekhar....}
