The February 1983 Creative Computing magazine has an article describing using visi-calc to predict the short term performance of IRA's. The calculations I've done and what this article shows is that given a high tax bracket and a high interest rate an IRA can break even in as little as 3.5 to 4 years. I want to look into the effect of increasing tax brackets over the years to see how much effect that has on the break even period. John Robertson (American Bell, Lincroft)
