Pat, In response to your query -- A couple working for TRW are buying horses ( young ones ), raising them, and approximately a year later sell them at a higher price. The numbers I obtained from them indicate a 20% to 50% return on your investment. They attempt to gaurantee you at least a 10% return ( I am not sure of the exact contractual nature ) on your investment. They are doing it part time and "seem" to be doing well. In the event they raise a "winner" they hope to either race it or "stud" it for fees ( more income ). They would like to get together 4-5 investors with $5,000 each, of which they'll match with $1 for $1 with their own money in order to purchase more horses ( Of course with their owning 50% of the shares in the horses they do have control of the investment ). With approximately $50,000 they can purchase 3 young horses ( some of the money goes to training, feed, broker fees when selling, and some management fees ). The deal seems not too risky ( better than buying gold ) and some substantial profits and depreciation involved. If you have any questions, ask away. Ilan Rabinowitz !decvax!trw-unix!rabin
