/***** whuxh:pr.presstp / mhwpd!prnews / 10:49 am Sep 22, 1983*/ MANY HAVE HANG UPS OVER MUCH-CHANGED MA BELL, Daily News, 9/22, p.64. Column by Dan Dorfman indicating the more than 3 million shareholders of Ma Bell may be saddled with "a dog" over the next couple of years. Writer attended the 13th annual Montgomery Securities conference in San Francisco this month where he said Bell was a highly controversial and misunderstood stock. Indicates that one analyst, Montgomery's Robert Morris, only favors securities of Ameritech, Bell Atlantic and BellSouth since all have superior earnings or the potential for superior earnings. Morris emphasizes that he would avoid all the remaining AT&T securities, including AT&T itself. /* ---------- */
