A friend of mine told me to watch some stock called SENSU.  I thought,
sure, why not I'll watch it.  Then I considered that I hadn't the foggiest
of what to watch for!  What kind of things do you watch on a stock
when somebody tells you to??

As Malcom Forbes once said " Invest in good management".
If you are not that experienced, treat the stock market as
you would Atlantic City; make sure you can well afford to
lose every penny you bet!  Read some of Andrew Tobias's 
books ( in paperback )  "The Only Investment Guide 
You'll Ever Need" may be what the title implies.
