[net.invest] Foreclosures

I've heard buying foreclosesures may be a way to finance a house you
couldnt otherwise afford. Does anyone in net-land have info on this?
Do you just go shopping bank to bank for one? I was curious.

Note that forclosure sales May be cheap, but probably not due to the
informed participation by real estate agencies and private parties. If you
do find a forclosure auction that sounds cheap, BEWARE, there is probably
RISK involved: forclosure auctions in some states do NOT include the TITLE!
Yes, in some states the bank can forclose, auction the house to you, and you
may have to fight the owner for the title! You even stand a good chance of
loosing if the title is, for example, tied up in probate!
