[net.music] Kayak

Okay, maybe some of you might not consider them "progressive" rock,
but I think that describes them better than any other title.

I am an avid (but uninformed) fan of theirs, and was wondering what
has happened to them. I have not heard of any albums recently
(since 1981) and wonder if anybody could fill me in. Here is a list
of what I have by them:

	1) See See the Sun
	2) Kayak (my copy has a picture of a big hand...)
	3) Royal Bed Bouncer
	4) Starlight Dancer (import version)
	5) The Last Encore (import... I never saw a USA release
					 of this)

	6) Starlight Dancer	(USA version... it is sort of a combination of
the last two albums, with some versions of some
songs being a little different, and at least
one new song: "Ballad for a Lost Friend"--
one of my favorite songs on the album)
	7) Phantom of the Night
	8) Periscope Life
	9) Merlin
	10) Eyewitness (Live in studio album, with a few not-previously
				 -heard songs)

Ivory Dance (I think)	(This is a single... I only have a tape copy
of this, and it's not the best quality)

	I also have:

The Last Forest (Solo album by Edward Reekers)
The Rainbow's End(?)	(Solo album by Max Werner)
Seasons (?) (Solo album by Max Werner)

The first two solo albums sound very Kayak-like to me, the third not
	so much.

I once read about a solo album by Ton Scherpenzeel, something about
a "Carnival of Animals", but I don't know any more about it. If
anyone knows of anything I don't have, or can update me in general,
please let me know. Also, if you know how I can get a copy (either
record or tape copy, if the record is not available) of anyting I
lack, Please let me know. The United States record world seems to
have been ignoring Kayak lately. (sadly)
