I just finished talking to the fun people at Rose & Company Brokerage, and it appears that they have a "problem" with their interest payments. I had noticed that there was no interest credited to my account for nearly three months, although I had met their requirements for receiving interest payments (more than 1,000 held for more than 1 week). After calling various desk-types, I finally spoke with the head of the Margin Department, who informed me that this problem (no interest) had appeared with several other accounts, and that they were now in the process of straightening it out. He mentioned that the problem could have affected "several hundred" accounts. So: if you have an account with them, check to make sure they are giving you your due. They said that they will find the problem accounts by checking all of their records, but this could take some time. --Hal Stern ihnp4!princeton!flakey!stern
