[net.invest] stamps

Someone recently posted about coin collecting here, and I could find no other
appropriate place, so please bear with me. I have acquired a "stamp collection"
which appears not to have been touched since about 1937. There are thousands 
of stamps, from all over the world (including some from countries I have never
heard of), very few of which are sorted or categorized in any way. Is it worth
my while to categorize and investigate these things? What are my chances of
finding anything of significant value? My ignorance in this area is total.
