I think the Islanders should be able to get past Washington without much difficulty, but then they have to play Philadelphia, who with the acquisition of Mark Howe on defence, have a much better defence than they did last year. Their scoring power seems to be much better balanced than the Islanders, who, for most of the season, have relied almost entirely upon the Bossy-Trottier-Tonelli line. If these two teams do meet in the playoffs, I predict Philadelphia would win the series in 6 games.
