How many people out there have seen Dennis (Denis?) Savard of the Chicago Blackhawks play? Is there anybody out there who would agree that he possesses the finest fundamental skills of any player in the NHL? Excuse me for being presumptious but I think that given some work on his defensive game and his acquisition of some Gretzky-like head skills, he could surpass Gretzky as the league's virtuoso performer. Only God and Gretzky knows what makes Gretzky go but whatever it is, there must be a few more people capable of doing it in this world.
