Unless I'm mistaken, Buffalo and Washington seem to be the hot teams
right now. Sunday night - Washington 9, Edmonton 2. I've been
following Washington lately and they are turning in awesome performances.
Besides their stellar defensive play, they have turned on the
offensive juices just in the last two weeks.
I think a transformation in the NHL is taking place. The Isles are
on the way out while Buffalo, Boston, Washington are coming up.
LaFontaine will help the Isles in a few weeks (possibly) but the
other NY team is garnering a half dozen Olympians. Gretzky is
getting the left wing he's wanted - Finnish Olympic team, presently.
Minnesota is getting a couple, too.
Let me put forth a prediction to liven up this news group.
