Well, I was more impressed by the Canadians' performance this time than against the Americans, at least for the first 2 periods anyway (that's all that I felt that it was wise to stay up for; 10:30 starts are hell on getting up in the morning). For the first period and a half, the Canadians were skating with the Soviets and actually taking the play to them occasionally. The only problems that they encountered was when they were standing still in their own zone (e.g. on the Soviets' first goal). However, those proved fatal. One important thing that this game shows is that we have the ability to upset the Soviets in this tournament if we play constant hockey for 60 minutes. It also showed, however, that it would be an upset if we beat them. And then, of course, there's always those damn Yanks...
