#9. Ferris State (11-26-1) 8-23-1 (17 points)

This includes this weekend's playoff results which went as follows:
(These are two games, total goals)

Michigan State hosted Miami and beat them 4-3 and 7-1 to become the #1 seed in
the semi-finals and finals at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
Lake Superior beat Michigan 3-1 and 7-6 to capture the #2 seed.
Bowling Green beat Illinois-Chicago 7-5 and 7-2 to become the #3 seed.
Ohio State beat Western Michigan 8-7 in goals to become the #4 seed. The
Buckeyes won Friday's game at Western 4-2. They then lost Saturday 5-3 to
force the series into overtime. Buckeye Bruce Tillotson got the series
winner to send the Bucks to Joe Louis.

These quarterfinals were hosted by the top four schools. The next four
finishers were the visitors (such that 8 visited 1, etc.). Pool Ferris State
was the only school not to make the playoffs. This came as some surprise
because Ferris lost fewer lettermen than any other CCHA team yet they did
far worse this season than last season. Oh well, maybe next year ....

The CCHA semis and finals this weekend take place in Joe Louis Arena -
also known as Munn Arena East (Munn Arena is in East Lansing - Spartan
country). Lake Superior plays Bowling Green Friday the 8th at 5pm while
number one seed Michigan State plays Ohio State at 8pm. Winners meet
at 8pm Saturday. The winner of the tournament gets a home ice berth in the
NCAA quarterfinals against the #3 team from the East. The losers of the semis
meet at 5pm Saturday to determine the consolation winner. One other CCHA
team will also receive a quarter final bid into the NCAA tourney.
