*** REPLACE THIS FLAME WITH YOUR DRIVEL *** Excuse my lack of modesty and good sportsmanship, but dammit here goes........YEAAAAAAAAAA OILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My poor overly modest collegues here in Edmonton seem to think that the Oilers may be the best NHL team ever. Horsepuckey! They ARE the best ever. Now I know this may sound a lot like bragging, because it is, but the Flyers just got blasted right into next season. I lost count of the number of NHL records set or matched when I got to 28. Can't be sure but I think the number was about 32. Whatever, that many records is a record in itself. Which one of the Original Sicks playoff records can even come close to equalling what the spOilers have done to date? I mean, realy now, the only major record left without the Oilers name on it is the number of straight Stanley Cup wins. And that will simply take three more years. Haven't heard to much from Philly fans lately. What's the matter cat got your tongues? Or is it just embarassment at the attempt by the Flyers to revive the Broad Street Bullies? Ah well, maybe next year. Speaking of not having heard from certain people, what ever happened to Rick the Neophyte. I hear he wound up in third place in the hockey pool. Maybe he's just had too much sun and forgotten all about the NY Islanders and how simply marvy they are. Time to quit this and go back to what I was doing before I was doing this.
