I've decided to take a survey of the readers of this news group to see
which is the preferred format for the all star game. Here are the choices:
a) Keep the current format (Campbell Conf. vs. Wales Conf.)
b) NHL All-Stars vs. the Soviet National team
c) Defending Stanley Cup champs vs. All Stars from the rest of the NHL
d) Top Canadian NHL players vs. top American & European NHL players
e) Eliminate the All-Star game completely
f) None of the above (If you choose this, please suggest an alternative format)

from which this message was sent. If you have any interesting comments, I'd
love to hear them, but I'm sure the other people who read this group would too,
so please post them.

I think it would be interesting. >d) Top Canadian NHL players vs. top American & European NHL players Also interesting but I don't think that there are currently enough of the latter to make a consistently good team when compared to the former. Also, there's a note of nationalism here that is a bit too strong for my tastes. >e) Eliminate the All-Star game completely Nope. We're just bored with it now.
