Does anyone in netland know answers to any of the following disk drive questions with respect to the IBM PC: 1) What brand of double sided drive are they going to use with DOS 1.1? 2) Does the single-sided OS take advantage of the Tandon's fast track stepping rate? If they don't, did the previous INT 27 ex- ample in net.micro.pc adjust the stepping rate for the faster speed? Will the double sided OS take advantage of it if they stay with Tandon? 3) Will the double sided drives be double track density? 4) Will single sided disks be compatible with the new double sid- ed OS (will you be able to read your old diskettes)? 5) Has (will) IBM spec in a second-source drive. 6) Specifically, will a Shugart SA450 drive work with the new controller board/OS?
