#N:ihlpb:17100003: 0:665 ihlpb!dap1 Dec 6 9:21:00 1982 Sorry to put so much stuff on the net, but I'm curious... Does anybody have any of the "unremove" utilities for the IBM? Since the IBM keeps track of files in the FAT (file allocation table) as a one way linked list I don't see how a utility could reconstruct the file after it has been deleted. Once the links are wiped out there is no way to retrieve them. The only thing I can think of is to provide a special remove utility which keeps a hidden file of file names and associated links which an unremove utility could reference at a later time.
