Fired up a new IBM PC a few days ago, and immediately noted that, when a screen is cleared, say when basic is run from the DOS, that the characters cleared from the screen took some time to disappear (about 2 seconds to fully "clear). Is this normal for the IBM monitor. I understand this does not happen to other green phosphor monitors. Given this is a trait of the IBM monochrome monitor, then how does one run a dynamic screen program (i.e. games) without creating confusion?? Any comments on this subject are greatly appreciated!
