From: overman at AEROSPACE (William T. Overman) I have a program that uses the printer port extensively, sending raster images to an Epson printer in graphics mode. I've found that the same exact program runs MUCH slower under 2.0 than 1.1 (a factor of 2 to 5). Does anyone know if there are additional port-activity-generated interrupts in 2.0? If so, is there a way to turn them off? Or is there just infinitely more overhead in the DOS call in 2.0. (An interesting sidenote: the IBM even under 1.1 is much slower to DOS a byte out the printer port than my old Sol). Another question: who do you call with such questions? Microsoft refuses to answer any. Bill Overman
