I don't trust ANY flip-flop on the market from any one manufacturer to consistently come up in a guaranteed state from date code batch x to batch y. Also, there are going to be people who will ask for a 74LS112 from Signetics and be given whatever happens to be in the bin at the local Radio Shaft or J-Random electronics store. I'll look at one of the local IBMer's AST schematic and see if there is a somewhat more guaranteed way of doing the fix. Jeff
