[net.micro.pc] Coherent Unix-like OS

I don't think you will be disappointed with Coherent if you bought it.
The thing is a very reasonable Version 7 look alike and the only real
UNIX port to the IBM PC I've seen. (Putting a 68000 card in the PC Box
and porting Unix to that is Cheating). I hacked quite a bit on it at
the last Unix conference. I also noticed that their source (which they
don't sell or licence) was on the disk they had brought with the system.
It's not supposed to be a V7 port, but a non-Bell-licenced equivelent.
The insides are very nice and I was surprised when I found out later that
I was not looking at hacked over V7 source but their own code. As far
as it goes, it seems to have everything (including nroff) with the exception
of UUCP (fat chance). Of course, there are the limitations of the IBM PC
and the 8086, but I doubt you will find a better UNIX port and certainly
not a better price.
