A recent infoworld had a front page article on a new system called uNETix which proported to be a V7 compatible system for the IBM-PC. The cruncher is they are selling it for $99 US funds. The owners claim this is a "loss leader" to attract attention to the their company and other software. Questions if you do see it: 1) How complete is the implementation? Is it really v7 or what? Does it lack uucp like Coherent? 2) How does it compare to Coherent and Xenix? In particular, how long does it take to compile a one line C program, and how long does it take (real time) to do two of these compiles at the same time in the background. 3) Will this company continue to be around? -- Brad Templeton - Waterloo, Ont.
