#R:cvl:-41300:whuxlb:6400003:000:755 whuxlb!jph Jun 22 08:55:00 1983 The easiest thing to do is to use the RS232INT.BAS (really an assembly language routine) that comes with the Asysn Comm Support package. It is fully interrupt driven with 2000 byte receive buffer and a 256 transmit buffer. It is very easy to interface to PASCAL and assembly language routine. For the price you pay (~$60), it will save you a lot of trouble. I have used it to write a terminal simulator in PASCAL and MACRO and have had no trouble with it. It has allowed me to concentrate on the features I want. Another important point is that the routine contains a lot of error checking and messages (things most people forget to put into home-grown versions).
