I received three responses to my query about the PC Technical Journal, ranging from "pretty interesting ... and professional" to "less than PC or PC World". Two articles in the first issue were mentioned: one on the colour adapter card (called quite good tech. material) and one on C compilers (just a list of sources!). The only consensus was that one should probably not subscribe right away, but wait to see how it develops. It is available in retail stores, and not just by subscription as my article suggested. My implied comment about BYTE not having much interesting technical material drew a response, asking what I think should be in BYTE. I replied that I'd like to see more on new chips and sophisticated software, among other things. Perhaps BYTE would be better if people submitted areas they'd like to see covered to net.micro. peter rowley, U.
