I've tried four times to send this to the author by mail but I think the path got munged. In any case, I suspect the reply will be of interest to many people. I saw Brad Davis' article on net.micro.pc concerning the DOS 2.0 exec function call (4B). Unfortunately, I don't understand how to use this macro. I am trying to set up something similiar to a "system()" call from a C program running on the ibm-pc. Since I am using C, I am not even a little bit familiar with the assembly language portion of the system. Looking at the documentation (such as it is) it seems that memory must be freed by using function call 4A. What is the trick to doing this? I would certainly appreciate some help (basic tho' it be) on this. Thanks, -- Harold Bamford Bell Labs Naperville, Illinois (312) 979-0804 ihuxw!bamford
