This is for all the people that really understand the hardware/ software of the PC. How does the disk interface to the P.C.? Does the PC autosense that a floppy is attached? If it does, then what does it expect to see when it looks at the disk? The bottom line question is: what is required to make a peice of hardware appear to be a floppy disk in a PC? Maybe I shouldn't rule out hard disks if they would work too. Oh, another question: what does PCDOS do if there are two floppy disks? This line of questioning is all going towards the goal of putting in a board that has a program on it in ROM. It would be nice if we could get this program to run without loading it off of a disk. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and just to stop any rumors, this has zip to do with Fortune Systems (unless my Dad joined when I wasn't looking).
