#R:ihlpf:17100021:isrnix:9500013:000:720 isrnix!akp Nov 20 15:40:00 1983 It made this far (in net.sources), and I'm at pur-ee!iuvax!isrnix (notes path). On the other hand, it seems to be a little bugged: I was fooling with that program (I wrote an ultra-simple "shell" using the call), and the DOS "COMMAND" command, and the MBASIC "SHELL" command, all of which effectively give a shell, and these all worked in about any combination, but as I popped UP the stack, the "exit()" I put in my "shell" program would issue lots of garbage on the screen, or sometimes just die. I think it has to do with not having enough memory, but I thought the exec() call checked for that. Oh, well.. It certainly works if you don't get too tricky... -- Allan Pratt ...decvax!ihnp4!iuvax!isrnix!akp
